Nine Lives of the Artist (11 min, 2011- excerpt)
| A video claiming to be about Schrödinger’s’ cat thought experiment digresses into a self-referential narrative about the way artists present themselves and their work. Drawing on the familiar tropes of artists interview, autobiography and mini-retrospective through a combination of found footage, old photos, music and lyrics, on-screen text as well as screen capture, webcam and mobile phone footage, the video attempts to communicate the difficulty- and likelihood of failure- of making work with meaning.
