ABOUT

INANIMA is an ongoing picture diary of inanimate objects which illustrates both personal and cultural change over a number of years. The drawings are taken from memory, from photographs and from things that lie around in the present, and are organised into a loose archive.

While being inspired by autobiographical experience, the drawings reflect wider social developments in food, technology and lifestyle by charting the stuff that surrounds us.

The front page will be updated every few days with new drawings.

BIOG

Erica Scourti was born in Athens, Greece in 1980 and has lived in London since the age of eighteen. After starting out on a Chemistry degree she finished a BA in Fine Art at Middlesex and her work reflects a diverse educational & cultural background, using a range of media and approaches.
