I have been offered residency at i-park, in Connecticut, USA, this summer (May- June 2010).
"I-Park is a 450-acre woodland retreat in rural East Haddam, Connecticut. I-Park aspires to take these natural gifts and create a special space where the important work being done by solitary individuals in their artistic and intellectual pursuits is encouraged and celebrated - a living, three-dimensional environment/community uniquely conducive to the creative process. "
VOICE/UNDER is an investigation into the way artists use the tension between sound and image as a tool.
The featured work uses the inherent contract and fusion between the two registers within its structure, sometimes to create disparity and at other times to collude in order to raise questions of perception, language and understanding.
The resultant questions might lead us into obscurity, or intrigue us as to the narrative possibilities decided by the viewer’s individual interpretation of what they see and hear.

A programme of artists' moving image from the UK curated by Steven Ball.
This collection of recent works by London-based artists describes the complexity and contingency of contemporary cultural infrastructure and urban life. Charting a course from systems of the micro-subjective, through mediated experience and fabulous storytelling, to an elaboration of the evolution of life and its artificial structures, these works mobilise the languages of business, the media, science and philosophy, and experiment with forms of performance, through action, transcription, narration and song.
